Bio

Alice Macdonald (b.1992) is a London based artist working across painting, printmaking and ceramics.

Alice is currently studying on the MA in Fine Art course at City and Guilds Art School, London. Previously she studied at Falmouth University, 2014, and on the Drawing Year at The Royal Drawing School, 2017. Her work is primarily based in painting but also includes drawing, ceramics and printmaking. Alongside her own practice she works collaboratively on large scale murals and set designs for the band This Is The Deep. This year Alice was awarded the prestigious Elizabeth Greenshields Grant. Other recent successes include being selected for the Bankley Gallery Open call 2022, winning the Young Artist award at the Royal Watercolour Society Open 2022, being shortlisted for the Sequested Prize 2020 and the Dentons Art Prize 2021, and longlisted for the Ruth Borchard Prize 2021. She has undertaken several residencies including The Drawing Marathon at Rhode Island School of Design, USA, at The Institute of Fine Arts, India, and at Dumfries House, Scotland.
