Rosie Vohra

Bio

Rosie Vohra is an artist living in Leeds working across collage, painting, drawing, printmaking and sculpture.

Central to Vohra’s practice is using these forms to explore themes of identity, belonging, feminism, heritage and the relationship between the human and nonhuman. Vohra studied at the Royal Drawing School where she was awarded the Sir Denis Mahon Award. Prior to this, she studied Fine Art at Leeds Art University. Recent exhibitions include: Wormb (duo exhibition), Quench Gallery, Margate, 2022; Flying Inside Your Own Body (solo), Slugtown Gallery, Newcastle, 2022; Chrysalis, Hyde Park Art Club, Leeds, 2021; Canopy Kilt (solo) Proudick Gallery, London, 2019; Post Curse, Freehold Projects Space, Leeds, 2019; The Sir Denis Mahon exhibition, The British Museum, London, 2018; Social Event, Platform, Glasgow International Festival, 2018. Vohra’s work is held in public and private collections including: The Government Art Collection, The Royal Collection and Moritz-Heyman Collection.
